So far from my testing the below work for me. Not sure what went sideways in its interpretation of the trackpad, but the program works again.Just installed Sierra and wanted to see what works. Strangely, when I connect my mac mouse (which I don't often use), it works in the traditional way, not reversed as described above. If I click with two fingers, the handlebars are now working. It used to work fine on my Macbook Air, but on this Macbook Pro, Affinity Photo is understanding the clicks in the reverse way: if I click with one finger, it brings up the menu as if I've double-clicked. On the macbook, one finger click on the trackpad is a left click, and two fingers clicking simultaneously on the trackpad is the equivalent of a right click (if that's how you set it). I was using the trackpad, which I'm most comfortable with. That gave me a partial fix, so thanks for that tip! I also want to share what I just discovered, in case other Macbook users have the same issue:
